Online licensing moves to DoTDirect

From 6pm on Saturday, 12 January, all recreational fishing licences applied for online will need to be completed through the Department of Transport’s DoTDirect system.

As a result, the online licensing portal on the Fisheries page will be offline from 1pm to 8pm while the change to DoTDirect is taking place.

The DoTDirect system will give customers an improved, user-friendly online service with new features making buying or renewing your licence simple. It will also allow you to manage your driver’s licence, vehicle registrations and fishing licences all in one place if you’re a DoTDirect personal account holder.

The cost of licences will not change and the Department will still issue you with your licence. The option to renew your licence using a hard copy form will also still be available. You can download an application form and submit by post or in person, or you can collect a form from one of our offices and make payment over the counter.
