​Intention to Determine a Harvest Strategy for the West Coast Deep Sea Crustacean Resource of Western Australia: Draft Harvest Strategy Open for Public Comment
 
The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development intends to determine the West Coast Deep Sea Crustacean Resource of Western Australia and invites interested persons to comment on the Draft Harvest Strategy.
 
The publication of a harvest strategy for an aquatic resource makes decision making considerations and processes publicly transparent and provide a basis for informed dialogue on management actions with resource users and other stakeholders. Harvest strategies contain specific objectives, performance indicators, reference levels and harvest control rules for each defined ecological asset.
 
A copy of the draft West Coast Deep Sea Crustacean Resource Harvest Strategy 2020 – 2025 is available here.
 
Interested persons seeking to comment on the Draft Harvest Strategy are invited to make representations in writing by 5.00pm, 9th October 2020.

Application by Harvest Road Oceans Pty Ltd to vary Aquaculture Licence No. 1425 – Invitation for Public Comment.

Pursuant to Administrative Guideline No. 1 Item 3.4.7, public comment is invited within 28 days of the date of this invitation on an application to vary an existing licence by adding oysters, scallops and red seaweed for aquaculture purposes on the authorised site at Oyster Harbour and amalgamating the authorised site with an existing site at Oyster Harbour.
