Marine WATERs

If you are a school teacher or environmental educator looking for a range of great marine education resources, our Marine WATERs website can provide a range of award winning materials.

Marine WATERS (Western Australian Teacher Education Resources) is a curriculum-based marine education resource which includes lesson plans, student worksheets, fact sheets, posters, articles, case studies, presentations and games.

Subscribing to our regular blog will keep you up to date with what’s happening in marine education. Marine WATERs is a joint initiative with Woodside Energy.

For students and the wider community, learning more about the marine environment leads to greater understanding and awareness.  An informed community is essential to building enthusiasm and providing support for management decisions.

To achieve a growth in environmental awareness and behavioural change, it is vital that people understand the science driving many of the decisions made by natural resource managers; that’s where Marine WATERs plays a key role.

Teachers are also welcome to attend our regular afternoon professional learning sessions to learn how Marine WATERs complements our Community and Education programs at Hillarys and around the state.
