Scaling Fish

Scale fish as soon as possible after catching them because the scales are easier to remove at this time. Scale your fish by using a fish scaler or a firm-bladed knife. Hold the fish firmly by the tail and scrape it with short strokes from the tail towards the head, away from your hand, ensuring all scales are removed.
