New Fishing Rules for Ningaloo Marine Park

New fishing rules have come into effect for Ningaloo Marine Park. Under new legislation introduced in September 2005, a number of new marine sanctuary zones have been created. No fishing of any kind is permitted in these zones.

Other zones have been designated for special purposes, general use and recreational fishing. The Department of Fisheries urges all anglers to become familiar with these new zoning arrangements and comply with them , in order to help conserve the marine biodiversity of this unique region.
