Situated within the Research Division of the Department of Fisheries Government of Western Australia the Library has a comprehensive collection of fisheries, aquaculture and aquatic science books and journals. It also has a special collection of aquaculture books provided by a grant from the Aquaculture Development Authority.

The Library, located at the Research Division since 1985, has over 1,700 journal titles and more than 3,000 books and monographs with some titles dating back to the 1890s.
