The Department of Fisheries needs your fish skeletons as part of its long-term monitoring program of our valuable marine resources.

Also known as ‘frames', filleted skeletons are essential to help the Department assess the status of our fisheries. By analysing data from the frames the Department can help ensure there's fish for the future.

Fishers donating frames before July 1 2012 will go into a prize draw for a number of fishing-related prizes, including a week-long fishing trip for two to the Montebello Islands worth more than $5,000 courtesy of Montebello Island Safaris.
