Joint Trawl Management Advisory Committee

The Joint Trawl Management Advisory Committee is established under Section 41 of the Fish Resources Management Act 1994. Its function is to provide information and advice to the Minister on matters related to the protection and management of:

• Shark Bay Prawn Managed Fishery;
• Shark Bay Scallop Managed Fishery; and
• Exmouth Gulf Prawn Managed Fishery (together called "the Fishery").

Membership of the Joint Trawl Management Advisory Committee

This committee is in abeyance pending the outcome of a Ministerial review of all Management Advisory Committees established under Section 41 of the Fish Resources Management Act 1994. All membership terms have expired and lapsed without any replacement reappointments or new appointments.

Meetings

The Joint Trawl Management Advisory Committee meets twice a year, following which a report is forwarded from the Chairman to the Minister for his consideration.
