Dr Jo Bannister

Dr Jo Bannister is a registered veterinarian with an interest in aquatic animal health, welfare, surgery, research and pathology.

She graduated from the Murdoch University Veterinary School in November 2011 and has been working as a fish vet with Fisheries since February 2012. She has a particular interest in occoculture and pathology.

Dr Bannister is currently learning how to become a fish pathologist and interpret histopathology and diagnose disease in many different types of aquatic animals.

She also helps co-ordinate the Western Australian fish kill program and trains Fisheries staff in managing fish kill incidents.
