Shark response unit

The Shark Response Unit was created to research shark populations and movements, improve response plans, and provide advice and information to people who are considering using the water.

These initiatives ensure response agencies can close beaches and the community keeps well informed about sightings. Eventually, our leading research programs will help us better understand shark behaviour and help keep people safe.

Further information about the Shark Response Unit can be found on the Sharksmart website.
