Freycinet pink snapper closure

Freycinet Estuary, an inner gulf of Shark Bay, will be closed for fishing for pink snapper from Sunday 15 August until 30 September 2021 (inclusive).

Closed seasons for demersal species such as pink snapper allow protection for these fish while they aggregate, and are critical for sustaining breeding stock for these long lived and slow growing fish.
