Emergency phone could save lives at Salmon Holes

An emergency phone installed at a dangerous rock fishing spot near Albany is expected to improve emergency response times and potentially save lives.

The device, funded by a $13,530 grant to Recfishwest from the State Government's Gaming Community Trust, will counter poor mobile reception at Salmon Holes.

While Recfishwest provides rock fishing safety advice, people are encouraged to put their safety first and fish from sandy beaches where possible.
