More than 8000 download SharkSmart app

Just three weeks after the State Government released Western Australia’s first-ever official shark warning app to help beach goers Switch on their Sea Sense, the SharkSmart WA app has already reported more than 8000 downloads.

This free app is loaded with information on your local beaches, including the SharkSmart Activity Map which features up-to-date information on shark sightings and detections.

The activity map also includes locations for patrolled beaches, beach enclosures, BEN signs, whale carcasses and updates on the latest SMART drumline activity, so you can monitor when drumlines are deployed and what is being caught.

So before taking to the water, switch on your Sea Sense and download the new SharkSmart WA app free from the Apple Itunes or Google Play stores.
