Celebrating sustainability at Crab Fest

Join us on 18-19 March at Mandurah Crab Fest for fun children's activities and to check up on the crabbing rules.

The annual event centres around Mandurah’s Peel-Harvey estuary, where fishing for blue swimmer crabs is a traditional part of our WA lifestyle.

As well as celebrating one of our State’s favourite crustaceans, it’s a great opportunity to find out more about the crabbing rules and what we’re doing to ensure the Peel-Harvey crab fishery stays sustainable and keeps its prized Marine Stewardship Council certification.

Our staff will be giving out free crab gauges and advice about the crabbing rules at our festival booth, which will feature a display about our new, improved online fishing rules. For the younger fishers, there will be plenty of fun activities including fishing games, colour-in activity books and special crab face masks.

We’re looking forward to seeing you at Crab Fest!
