Big boost to marine science education

Marine science education in Western Australia has been boosted after we entered into a major sponsorship agreement with Woodside.

The partnership will help the next generation of students better understand our State’s beautiful marine environment and support its stewardship.

The agreement includes $300,000 in support from Woodside, and builds on our previous joint initiatives to help further develop the popular MarineWATERs website.

The website has become Australia’s leading dedicated online marine education resource, regularly accessed by more than 7,000 teachers and students.

The new sponsorship will see the site enhanced with more information including regionally-specific content and a data collection app for use outside the classroom.
