Abalone day cancelled

The Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development advises that the recreational abalone session scheduled from 7am to 8am this Saturday, 6 February 2021 in the West Coast Zone (WCZ) has been CANCELLED.

The Department based this decision on the current COVID-19 lockdown area, which encompasses the majority of the WCZ.

The Department has liaised with WA Police, Surf Life Saving WA and Recfishwest and determined the fishing session scheduled for this Saturday morning is not to proceed.

The Department will add a replacement session on the 13 March 2021. As with all recreational abalone fishing sessions, this is subject to any COVID restrictions and SLSWA recommendations on the predictive weather and sea conditions.
